As Networking is a must in order to ensure durability of the development actions carried out in the rural villages.  Under the frame of the EU funded project, PRODES created a WIRLA network- Women In Rural Lebanese Areas- with a specific inscription system gathering around 400 young ladies and women owning and/or managing rural micro-businesses.  In order to ensure the durability of this network, a partnership with the National Observatory of Women in Agriculture and Rural Areas (NOWARA) was done.  WIRLA participants were included in NOWARA database…They can participate in their training programs, awards programs, exhibitions and so on…Key contacts are nowadays ready to communicate any event, information or invitation (for festival- local exhibitions…) to their communities.

In order to enhance communication and help women to understand its importance, skills and effective ways for communicating, different communication workshops were organized, with the collaboration of AEP association, in Bcharre, Jbeil and Batroun. These activities gathered women from WIRLA Network, helping them to establish a clear and integral communication system. Women reached the step of using social media tools and why not… Whatsapp is nowadays their favorite communication tool.
